Be Deadly Online is an indigenous animation campaign comprising of 3 films, a poster campaign and supporting resources. The brief was to use humour and local indigenous writers and performers to explore the habits and pitfalls of online activity in the community, particularly in remote areas.
BRAVE collaborated with key creatives from the community to produce this series of animations which were hand-drawn with painted backgrounds. We collaborated with writer Danielle Maclean (Redfern Now) and voice actors including Melodie Reynolds, Lisa Maza, Minta Franks and Justin Grant.
Be Deadly Online won the Gold Prize at the World Media Festival, a Silver Medal at New York Festivals and an ATOM award.
